John’s second eBook just published

I just wanted to announce to all my readers, and hope they pass the information along, that I have just published my second eBook, A Perfect Conspiracy.  You can find it on Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk and it can be downloaded on the Kindle, any of the Kindle apps for various eBook readers and also in the iBook store and most other e-retailers of books.

This was a great writing experience for me since the book centers around the historically rich Languedoc Region in the south of France where I have a home.  In fact, our home, originally an 11th Century small chateau is the inspiration behind this novel.  If you like a fast-paced thriller involving both modern and Medieval times with murder, the Inquisition, betrayal, money laundering, and a timeless epic of the struggle between the Cathar religion and the Catholic Church, you will love this book.

The story is based on real events that happened between 1209 and 1254 in the south of France, and also in modern day London and Boston.  The main character, Matt Brennan is an investment banker with a bad attitude and a lovely wife who is a direct descendant of the Cathar priests.  And then there is the villain, Father Thomas de Angelo, a Catholic priest and Special Inquisitor appointed by the Pope to burn the heretics who refuse to embrace the Church.  Lots of history as well as an education in one of the bloodiest Crusades where an estimated 1 million people were either burned at the stake or killed in battles.

I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.  And it ends with the promise of a sequel.

And of course if you missed the announcement about my first eBook, The Beirut Conspiracy, you can also find it at Amazon and Kindle, iBooks, etc.

If you buy a copy of either book (or both) and read them, please give me some feedback and ideas for the sequel.  And whatever you do, please pass along this announcement to your friends and mailing list.

Also, a third novel is coming in the next month about Pirates!

Women pirates . . .

Tight Lines . . .
